The recruitment cookbook

Foreword

Why a doughnut?

Because it's round, generous, and nobody has ever sulked opening the box. Because a doughnut is for sharing, best eaten warm, and doesn't keep. Hiring is how you feed a company. We decided to do it the way you cook for people you love: by hand, in quantity, and on time.

Chapter 2 · The Recipe

One subscription. All-you-can-hire.

Recruitment is usually sold à la carte: very expensive, one dish at a time, a long wait between order and service, and a surcharge with the coffee. We went for the buffet.

The window

Doughnuts in the shop window

A baker doesn't ask if you're hungry. They put croissants in the window, and appetite follows as you walk by. We do the same with your talent: we scan your company, flag every key position, and stock the window before you've asked for anything. Anticipate rather than react.

Chapter 4 · The Kitchen

If the dish arrives fast, the prep was already done.

A chef plating a dish by hand

In a real kitchen, everything is peeled, chopped and marinated before the first guest arrives. Our method comes down to six moves. None of them is made by a machine.

  1. 1

    The seating plan

We scan your whole company and flag the seats of honour: the roles that keep a plant running, the ones that turn over often, the ones that are scarce on the market.

  2. 2

    The window

For every key position, talent that is ready, met and vetted, presented before you've asked, with the headhunter's opinion.

  3. 3

    The pantry

A shelf per manager, per job family, per site. Available talent doesn't stay available: we replace them as soon as they leave. What you see is always fresh.

  4. 4

    Service

Three to five talents, not thirty CVs. Every plate comes with the headhunter's opinion, signed with their name.

  5. 5

    The shared kitchen

Like a supplier pooling R&D across carmakers, one brigade serves several companies in a sector. And we never approach one client's people on behalf of another.

  6. 6

    The brigade

Seconded to you all year. A head chef coordinates, headhunters cook, each signs what they serve. Including when the news isn't good.

0% AI.
100% nose.

While the whole world installs robots to sort CVs, we kept humans. No candidate is sorted, scored or rejected by a machine. Anywhere, ever. You don't cook well with a robot.

  • The nose

A perfumer, a sommelier, a cheese-maker: some crafts rely on a nose no sensor can replace. A human senses a desire, a hesitation, something unsaid. A machine counts keywords.

  • The utensils

Yes, we have a platform. It tidies, traces, alerts and saves everyone time. It never chooses anyone. A whisk has never invented a recipe.

  • The same recipe for everyone

Same criteria for all, structured interview grids, peer review between headhunters. Only fit with skills, team and values counts.

Chapter 5 · The House

One brigade, several kitchens.

Headhunters trained in industry, chosen for their rigour, their curiosity, and their ability to tell a plant director what he doesn't want to hear. Politely. In several languages.

Twenty years hunting plant directors, maintenance managers, quality engineers, buyers and project managers, in France, Central Europe, Mexico and North America. We know what a rush on a production line feels like.

    always the same team

There's always a kitchen open somewhere. When one team turns off the ovens in France, another turns them on in Mexico.

Bonjour, hello, hola, guten Tag, dzień dobry.

Chapter 6 · At the Table · Talent space

Here, you're the guest.

A welcoming chef, arms crossed

Sending a CV too often feels like throwing a message in a bottle: nobody answers, and you don't even know if anyone read it. We'd rather set a table.

  • Read, not scanned.

Your career is read by a headhunter, never filtered by software. Your keywords can relax.

  • A real conversation.

What you want, what you no longer want, what you hadn't imagined.

  • The truth.

About the role, the manager, the team, the mood on the shop floor. Even when it's less sweet.

  • You choose your menu.

Your pools, your availability. Your CV is never mass-mailed, and never sent without your say-so.

  • Served before the job exists.

No more waiting for an ad: the job comes to you.

  • Several tables.

If one role doesn't suit you, another, next door, might.

Nobody leaves hungry

If you're not selected, you get personal, honest, useful feedback. Not a form email. And if you're hired, we check in 30 and 90 days after you start, the way you call a friend after a move.

Take a seat

Recommend someone

Good addresses travel by word of mouth. Your referral is followed through to the hire and rewarded: a bonus and priority access to roles that suit you. No toaster to win, sorry.

Refer a talent

Frequently asked

  • Two things, and only two. An annual fee for the seconded brigade. Fees only when you hire a talent.

Chapter 7 · The Recipe Book

Ideas to go.

For coffee time. Recruitment recipes, behind the scenes of industry, and our failures, told without the glaze.

  • Why your maintenance manager leaves every three years

It isn't the pay. It isn't the plant. It's the silence. Nobody notices what doesn't break.

  • Three talents rather than thirty CVs

Thirty CVs is a cold buffet: you pick, you hesitate, you leave without eating.

  • What suppliers understood before recruiters

One platform, adapted, and every client pays less for a better product.

  • We said no to robots. Here's the bill.

Without a sorting algorithm, every application is read by a person. The bill is time. We're happy to pay it.
